Resources for Crisis Issues
Although BeStrong Ministries is not
directly involved in the issues listed below, we desire
to have a list handy if you or someone you know is
experiencing any of these events in their lives.
Although we do not endorse or support any of the
websites listed, we still believe they will be helpful
to those searching the sites. Many of the websites
offer hotlines you can anonymously call for more
information about a subject or for personal
intervention. For most cities, your phone book will
also offer state-based resources.

Youth (and adult) Intervention:
Teen Challenge was founded by David Wilkerson in New
York in 1958, to fight the drug epidemic in the
lives of young people. (To learn about David
Wilkerson, visit his website at
www.davidwilkerson.org).
Still successful today, the program cites an 86%
cure rate. This program not only fights for teens,
but also adults. This site offers excellent
prevention and educational tools, as well as
recovery and rescue interventions. In over 77
countries, Teen Challenge is sure to have a location
near you.
“The Mission of National Youth Network is to
educate parents of troubled teens on child behavior
including attention deficit disorder, ADD, ADHD,
drug abuse, teen depression, behavior modification
or intervention programs such as wilderness
programs, boarding schools, residential treatment,
weight loss camps, and other adolescent programs.”
NYN is a powerful resource for any parent struggling
to raise a troubled teen.
