The Psalms are full of “bring your sacrifice(s) of praise/thanksgiving”. Bringing a sacrifice of praise is bringing an offering. Psalm 50:23 says, “Whoso offers praise glorifies me.”
It is easy to bring Him an offering of praise when my life is going well. It is easy to thank Him for “obvious” things, like a loving spouse, a good job or good friends. But what about pain? Loss? Disappointment? How can I possibly praise Him when I find myself in the “belly of a great creature”?
I ask you one question:
Who is He?
Is He good? Faithful? Trustworthy? Can we trust Him with our lives, in not only the good but also the bad? He is looking for a faith that trusts Him. Either He is Who He says He is, or He isn’t. Either He is faithful and good, or He isn’t. I encourage you to CHOOSE to thank Him IN the storm. Thank Him even when you don’t know when or how or even if He will deliver you. As you thank Him in the storm, a miracle occurs. He undergirds you with His strength and carries you through. Never underestimate the far reaches of His strength and hope. There is no darkness His light cannot penetrate. There is no place His hope cannot reach.
He is looking for a faith that trusts Him
Are you in a storm right now? Do you see only the dark clouds and feel the stinging rain? Praise Him now.
“Lord, I don’t know why I am in this storm. But I choose to bring you my feeble offering of praise, even when I don’t understand. Thank you that my praise brings You glory. Show me Who You are and help me to have a faith that trusts You.”

Why a Blog?
I debated about writing a Blog for some time. I am not anyone special, who has something new to say. However, I remembered the numerous times I was encouraged by the stories and testimonies of others. My desire is to also encourage or strengthen others by how the Lord has brought me through difficult times. I pray He strengthens you!
