Never Forsaken

All of us have experienced moments in our lives when we feel alone and forsaken.  Loneliness makes a terrible companion.  It slowly wraps one in its dark cloak of sadness and never offers any comfort.  No matter how close we may be to another person, be it spouse, parent or friend, we can still feel solitude and isolation.  If we rely on others to always provide companionship, we will probably be disappointed.  But this is not true concerning Christ.

Jesus Christ will never leave you or forsake you.  He will never desert you or leave you alone.  He remains by your side, never withdrawing His presence from you.  It is against His character to abandon you, no matter the circumstances!  It is also impossible for Him to forget you.  He created you before the foundations of the world were even made (Ephesians 1:4).  He formed you in the womb (Psalm 139:13), and knew your every bone and sinew (Psalm 139).  You are engraved on the palms of His hands and imprinted on the walls of His heart (Isaiah 49:16).  He knows you intimately.  To forsake you would go against every fiber of His character!  It is literally impossible for Him to do so!

Imagine the comfort to know God is forever by your side, walking through every trial, hardship, disappointment and hurt through which you are walking.  Imagine knowing there is no power on heaven or earth that could separate God from you.  Imagine no longer, for it is true!  You can rest assured that the Word of God is accurate and reliable.  His truth reigns supreme and will never change.  Therefore, His promise to never abandon you will never change and will permanently remain true.

I challenge you to grasp God’s truth.  Remember every moment of every day, He is with you and you will never be alone!
